During my last few weeks in New Zealand I went to Lave Glass studio Taupo. Run by Lynden Over and assisted by chris Jones an outstanding glass artist. I learnt a lot from both of them and also about the relationship between artist and assistant in how they work together as a team.

I got first hand observations of production work and got what it feels like to work in front of an audience. They had a viewing area where the public could go to and sit to watch glass art being made.

I got a lot of useful tips on running a studio and learning about sourcing equipment and glass. For the first few days I was assistant for Lynden over I was gathering coloured trails for his current lines and trailing his vases, Each vase had multiple coloured trails and differing sized frits. Then I Got to observe Chris making some of Lynden's line (perfume bottles) while making stringers for Lyndens next work.

Over the time being there I got to learn a lot from both artists, I got a whole range of studio information and glass techniques to add to my growing knowledge.
